paint and slobber

This last weekend I went to my brother and sister-in-laws place to help them paint. The 2 1/2 hour drive didn't seem that long down there but I drove back this morning right after getting out of bed. That was rough.

I had a nice wake up call each morning I was there by my good buddy Charlie (a Newfoundland puppy). He would lick my face when I was lying on the couch. That's not bad except for one thing. He just got done drinking from his water dish, so when he licked me he got a bunch of water and slobber all over me.

Charlie is the best dog I have ever met. He is so nice and gentle for being a giant oaf. He is still rather akward but I think that is one of his cooler attributes. He also looks out for the ones he loves. Case in point, when we were scraping and painting the triming, poor Charlie was stressed out and He freaked out when he saw us on the roof. I love Charlie.

After Charlie was done rampaging through the night he slept at my feet while I was reading a book.
